Coping Strategies Receives Funding
We are very excited to announce that the Victoria Brain Injury Society has received funding for our Coping Strategies Program from the Ernest & Hazel Kay Fund for Seniors, the Rudi & Sylvia Hoenson Foundation and the Ernie & Frances Hudson Family Fund through the Victoria Foundation. We are so grateful to these funders for supporting this important program.
The Coping Strategies program empowers brain injury survivors to develop healthy coping strategies as they deal with challenging aspects of their injury including memory loss, sensory overload, depression, social anxiety and isolation. Coping Strategies creates a supportive environment where brain injury survivors learn to navigate and utilize local services, function safely in stressful and demanding environments and create networks of support that will allow them to become more self-reliant and to function successfully as active members of their community.
