A Run to Remember

The Victoria Brain Injury Society's Run & Walk Team joined brain injury survivor David McGuire for the last 2 kilometers of his epic journey across Canada on Friday, December 9th, 2011.

David sustained brain injury in 2005, and his life changed dramatically after brain injury. He wants to bring awareness to this cause and although he was told by doctors that he’d never walk again, he decided was going to run! And run he did. A marathon a day, in fact! The event was called A Run to Remember and David ran from St. John’s, Newfoundland to Victoria, BC.
